The Rating Scale Explained
Taste perception is inherently subjective. To provide a balanced and standardized benchmark, our editorial evaluations are scored on a five-star scale:
- Sweetness: From light, natural fruit sweetness (⭐) to thick, candied glazes and syrups (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐).
- Tartness: The presence of natural fruit acidity or crisp citrus zest that cuts through the sugar.
- Cooling: The throat-hit chill and icy menthol sensation on both the inhale and exhale.
- Fruit Depth: The richness, layering, and longevity of the core fruit profile on the palate.
